Bob's News

World Collegiate Championships
Bob spent a week in San Antonio, TX shooting for the CSU Shotgun Sports Team.  He shot his first 25 straight in Trap and was really excited about that.  He also turned in the second highest score in Trap on the entire team (14 members).  In the Skeet competition he shot his best score ever of 88 of 100.  We will see more of this.

Vacation
Bob has been skiing and working during his Christmas vacation.  He gets a whole month off and goes back to school on the 17th of January.  He's working at the Steak & Rib and the ski area scanning lift tickets.

New Shoes
Drew and I went bowling with Bob last night in Denver (11/3/05) and he was showing off his new bowling shoes.  They are kind of ugly, bright orange and black.  They basically glow in the dark.  He and David Shaffer are bowling in a tournament next week in Fort Collins watch here for an update on scores and stories.

CSU vs. Utah

Drew and I went to the game with Bob on Saturday and it was a nail biter.  CSU won in the last few seconds with a goal line defense that stopped Utah from scoring.  David and Kevin joined us for the game and then it was out to dinner afterwards.  The weather was great and the next day we got about 20" of snow at home and spent 1.5 hours stuck at the tunnel waiting to get home.

CSU vs. Air Force

Drew and I went to the game with Bob on Thursday the 29th.  We were in the students area of the stands and Drew felt right at home.  Met with Mike Stradt before the game and then after the game we took Bob and Kevin out to dinner after the game.

Bob stopped by and bowled with the team last night (9/8/05) and gave us the updates on school.  He won't be home until Thanksgiving, but we might see him again at bowling.  Bob did take his bowling ball back to CSU so he could bowl at school.

School has begun...

With over 2 weeks under the belt, Bob seems be doing just fine.  Was home for Labor Day weekend and couldn't wait to get back to school.  They hauled up a new TV which they scammed from Drew and a new couch from the Davis' for their massive dorm room which is much smaller now.  Watch for updates.

Bob's current and future events!

As high school nears it's end for Bob he has been accepted at Colorado State University (CSU) in Fort Collins, Colorado.  He leaves for school on August 18, 2005.  Watch this site for more updates.

Looks like Bob's fellow scouts, Kevin Davis and David Shaffer, from Troop 187 will be joining Bob at CSU this fall.  He is happy to have such good friends joining him at school this fall.

We will be heading to Ft. Collins in June to do his early registration and placement tests.  He's not looking forward to the placement tests, but it may save him  few classes, means less money.  Watch for updates.

Prom 2005

Bob and Courtney Stoffel during picture session as the snow continued to fall for the 4th day in a row.  The weather didn't seem to effect their smiles.  Dinner was at Keystone Ranch in Keystone of course.  Then off to the dance at the Village in Breckenridge.  Post dance was at the French Creek clubhouse with a hot tub and swimming pool, ping pong, pool table and movies.  I think Bob said there was some food too.

From left to right their group included:  Renei Bohrer, Courtney & Bob, Rachel Bergstrom, Evan Bradfield, Amy Secor, Ben Holland, Jessica Oberriter.

More friends

Air Band 2005

Pictured below are the air band players.  Thanks to Lynne O'Connor for this great picture and you are right Lynne, "Bob you are a riot!"  Air band is a costume act out some song and put some type of comical twist on it.  If you need a better explanation you will need to call Bob and get it clarified.  The picture is features from left to right: Bob Koch, Charles Keeling, John Koop, and Charles Koenig.  My only question is how long to cleanup?

As you know one of Bob's accomplishments in his youth was he attained the rank of Eagle Scout.  It made his dad proud because he is an Eagle Scout also.  The following link is to the newspaper article that was written the day of his court of honor.  Breck youth attains Eagle Scout status

Bob and Charles doing the track thing.  This was an article that ran in the Summit Daily our local newspaper.  Between his work and school and track this spring should prove to be very busy for Bob.  SHS track and field young, strong in numbers   March 11, 2005.

Bob and David Shaffer

Bob and David are scheming about this up coming year at CSU.  They are both attending and have already started their planning.  Pictured here they were surfing the net after a powder day on the mountain.  Bob has a pretty good set of raccoon eyes.

Bowling and Bob
This is what he says is his favorite sport, but I don't think so.  Maybe it is in the winter but I heard that sliding down the alpine slide on garbage can lids is much more fun.
